WUHAN OPEN (2 746 000 USD, HARD COURT), DOUBLES, QF
Shuko Aoyama, Lidziya Marozava (Japanese, Belarusian)-Tímea Babos, Kristina Mladenovic (Hungarian, French, 1) 6:2, 7:5

The match lasted 1 hour 13 minutes in Wuhan.

In the first 28-minute first set, the Hungarian-French double won their opponent’s serve to 40, after 1:1, but the next period was very bad for them…Aoyama and Marozava broke back, also to 40 (2:2), then repeated it in the sixth game.

The much more accurate Japanese-Belarusian team hold their serve to 15 in the seventh game, then did not lose a rally as a receiver.

In the first half of the second set, Timi and Kristina Mladenovic played better than before, broke the opponents again to 40 after 1:1. The first seeds retained the advantage till 4:2, when they had a chance for another break. Aoyma and Marozava saved the game to 40, then broke to 30.

Unfortunately, after 5:5, the Hungarian-French duo won only a single rally, so Aoyama and Marozava advanced to the semifinal.
