The match lasted 1 hour 38 minutes.

“I’m really happy about today’s game, obviously after the loss of the US Open final, We were expecting a tough match. As always, the match was still full of emotions, but it was a pleasure for Me to keep our feelings in hand and overcome the excitement. We again proved that We’re very good team-mates: when I played a little bit worse, Kiki pulled the wagon and that was the other way around. We tried to play aggressively and boldly, and the decisive tie-break was won. I’m glad We learned from our mistake from the US Open. I am very happy that I have been in the final for the second year at the season-ending tournament, and I think this is a fantastic result and, of course, can not wait for the final. I’m sure it will be a very big game, it’s a real prestige, I hope We can get everything out of Us. It’s a reward, that We are there, and it is already a habit on the cake that We are again in the final! I feel tactically prepared. Today, of course, We are tired, but I would not say weWwould not have yet mobilized energy. So we’re ready” – said Timi.

A difficult, very difficult semifinal waited for Timi and Kristina Mladenovic, as the opponent were one of the best and toughest teams of the World. In addition, the most recent match was a very amazing battle, unfortunately, brought an Australian-American triumph in the US Open final.

This time the opening act was also very tight. At the start of the first, 47-minute set, Barty and Vandeweghe broke to 30, but then only won a rally behind their own games. Then, till the end of the set, no pair had a break point, so the tie-break came.

In the tie-break, Barty and Vandeweghe led from the beginning, and the third break, after 5-4, proved to be decisive.

The 38-minute second set made a turn! Timi and Kiki Mladenovic played more accurately, after 2:1 broke the opponet after a great battle, to 40. The advantage disappeared in the seventh game, but afterwards they won their opponents serve again. Even after the winning game for 0, Barty and Vandeweghe managed to reach for two break points, after saving a set point. Finally, Timi and Kiki Mladenovic could close the set.

The Hungarian-French pair began the decisive tie-break very well, they led 6-1 with two break. But soon, it was 6-7…Fortunately, after 8-8, Timi and Kiki Mladenovic won a receiver’s point and after that, they finished the semifinal.
