30/06/2016 – Coco Vandeweghe served and received very well, she broke Timi twice in each set.

Coco Vandeweghe (USA, 27)-Tímea Babos (Hungarian) 6:2, 6:3

 

The match lasted 60 minutes.

 

“Coco played incredibly well! I’m sorry, because I felt that I was in good shape. But if someone is playing tennis, as my opponent today, then it should be accepted and go on. I did everything I could. In this viewpoint, I do not lack. It’s just that I’m really sorry … “– Timea Babos said.

 

Before the Wimbledon Grand Slam event Coco Vandeweghe triumphed on grass in the Netherlands, then played in the semifinal at Birmingham. Unfortunately, on Thursday she also played very well, she was very confident and accurate.

 

In the opening game of the 27-minute first set Timi lost her serve to 30, and this, unfortunately, was crucial. She had no chance as a reciever, she won a total of two points in four games. Vandeweghe played almost perfectly…

 

The second set was a bit more closely established, but also this time the American player were the better on the Court3. Timi fought bravely, but she had chance only behind the serves. And only till 3:3…

 

In the seventh game Vandeweghe broke to 30, and she essentially decided the match. She easily hold that lead behind the serve, and after 5:3 she broke again her opponent to 30.
