09/07/2015 – Timi and Alexander Peya saved two match points and won in three sets against the second seed, last year’s US Open Champion pair of Sania Mirza and Bruno Soares.
The match lasted 2 hours 24 minutes. The 5th seed Hungarian-Austrian pair will meet Anabel Medina Garrigues and Robert Lindstedt in the last four.

“It was a great game, the toughest of my career in Mixed Doubles. Full of twists and turns, thrills. We saved two match points with my serves, with two amazing points. I am glad that I can play two semifinal at Wimbledon” – said Timi.
The 31-minute first set has already been decided at the beginning … Mirza and Soares saved two break points, then they won Peya’s serve. After that nobody lost the service game, the second seed won their service game to 30 after 5:3.
At the beginning of the 61-minute second set the Hungarian-Austrian duo saved two break points, which gave them strength and faith. After 4:3 Timi and Peya broke the opponent, they lived with the third chance. Unfortunately the Austrian player couldn’t hold her service game from two set points. Then Mirza and Soares saved another set points, so few minutes later came the tie-break.
Timi and Peya came back from 0-3, they led 6-4. Unfortunately, the second seed pair saved the sets points, but after 6-6 the Hungarian-Austrian double finished the set.
In the final set Timi – first time – lost her service game, then Mirza and Soares led 4:1. But came the next twist! The Hungarian-Austrian pair came back to 4:4. At 6:5 Timi and Peya saved two match points, then after 7:7 they broke Mirza to 0.
In the last game the Hungarian player saved two break points, then she won the second match point to finish the quarter-final.
The 5th seed pair’s next opponent will be Anabel Medina Garrigues and Robert Lindstedt.
