The wild-cardist local pair almost perfectly lived with their chance in the 40-minute opening act, had three set points before the tie-break.
Timi and Eric Butorac, who ends his career at the US Open, saved two break points in the fourth game. But for a long time. they had no chance as a receiver.

This year, the Kazakh player was a finalist at Wimbledon with Timi.
The 34-year old Soares is ranked 8th, his career best position was 3 (7 October 2013). During his career he won 22 ATP tournament in this genre. This year, he remained unbeaten at the Australian Open, with Jamie Murray. Three years ago, he played in the US Open final, with Alexander Peya. He was a finalist in Mixed Doubles four times: he triumphed at the US Open in 2012 (Co: Ekaterina Makarova) and in 2014 (Co: Sania Mirza). This year, he won at the Australian Open (Co: Elena Vesnina).
