US Open 2016: farewell in Mixed Doubles

04/09/2016 – The second seed pair won both sets in a close battle.

Yaroslava Shvedova Bruno Soares (Kazakh, Brazil, 2)-Tímea Babos, Eric Butorac (Hungarian, US) 6:3, 7:5

 

The match lasted 68 minutes.

 

The Hungarian-US pair had a good start in the opening act. They broke the opponent to 30, then led 2:0, 40-15. But Shvedova and Soares hold that service game, and won five games in a row.

 

After 5:2, Timi and Butorac came back with a service game, but the Kazakh-Brazil pair won their service game. So, they clinched the opening act.

 

At the beginning of the second set, both team lost their first service ga,e. After that, their were a big battle. At 5:5, Timi and Butorac was broken, and then they won no rally at the last game.

 

The Hungarian player’s tournament schedule was modified in September. Timi does not start in Quebec City, her next event will be at Wuhan.
