Timea Babos (Hungarian)-Aliaksandra Sasznovich (Belarus) 7:6 (7-2), 6:4

“It was a very difficult match! I did not feel that she is tired after yesterday’s long and tough match. She had very good return games. But her serves were not as good, so I could attack them. That’s why I broke her so many times. It was a tough match, I had to struggle a lot. Today, I didn’t played as well as yesterday…But, I fought hard, I really wanted to win. It helped me a lot. The tie-break was the only stage of the match when I played really well, so she had no chance. At the beginning of the second set I broke her again, but I lost my lead after a long, but bad service game. After that, my opponent had a psychological advantage. Then at 4:4 I played a stable and very good game, so I had a break advantage again. And in the last game I played my best service game, with three aces. It was very hot, everyone suffered. I fought hard, I wanted that success. I’m happy with the win!”– said Timi.

In the first, 65-minute set Timi twice had a break advantage. But she couldn’t hold that lead after 2:0 and 3:1. Fortunately, at 3: 3 she hold her service game from 0-30. And it was very important.

Because, in the second part of the set the receivers had no chance. So, the tie-break decided the fate of the opening act.

In the tie-break the 22-year old Hungarian player jumped to a 3-0 lead with two receivers point. Then, she hold easily the lead, so she won the first act!

The second set was also very interesting. Timi again lost an early break advantage, after 1:1. The Belarus player led 3:2, few minutes later.

But in the crucial part of match Timi played better. She broke her opponent at 4:4, then she won the last service game to 30, at 5:4. So, she advanced to the main draw at the Western & Southern Open.
