11/04/2017 – At the beginning of the second set the Hungarian player called the trainer, then three games later she indicated, she couldn’t continue the match.

Last week’s Monterrey quarter-finalist Hungarian player must deal in Biel with the 7 hour time difference and the long journey fatigues in Biel. But she couldn’t overcome these things – and Rodina – In the Swiss town.

 

Timi saved her first service game from a break point in the 61-minute opening set, but few minutes later she lost her serve, at 1:1. At 5:4, Rodina served for the first set, but her opponent came back strongly. But in the tie-break the Russian player saved a set point as a receiver, then she closed the act at 8-7, behind the serve.

 

At the beginning of the second act, Timi came back from a break down to 2:1, then she called for a medical care. Three games later she signalled, she couldn’t continue the meeting.

 

The Hungarian player began the match with a pain in her left thigh (adductor). Her condition worsened during the match and she retired to avoid a serious damage.
