16/05/2014 – Timi celebrate another beautiful victory in Prague: she won in two sets against Tereza Smitkova at the quarterfinal of the Sparta Prague Open.
The match lasted 1 hour 18 minutes. The 21- year-old Hungarian player ‘s opponent in the last four will be Heather Watson (position 112) .

“Today I managed to win in two sets against a troublesome opponent. That’s good, but my game wasn’t even today. The important thing is the win! Tomorrow will be semifinal day” – Timi said.
In the 35-minute opening set Timi lost immediately her break advantage, but after 2:2 she took total control. She served and received very well, she broke Smitkova to 15 and to 40.
The young Czech didn’t give up, she had two break points at 5:2, but Timi saved both of them, then she won the opening act.
Timi started perfectly the second set. She broke her rival twice and led 3:0. But then came Smitkova and equalized to 4:4. After that came the decisive game!
Timi won her opponent’s service game to 40, then won her own to 15. So she reached the semifinal at the Czech capital.
The Hungarian player in the last four will meet the World No 112 Heather Watson. The 21-year old British player’s career best was 39 (02.25.2013). During her career, she has won one WTA singles and four ITF singles titles.
Watson this season won against Mandy Minella (7:6, 7:5), Chanelle Scheepers (2:6, 6:3, 6:0), Johanna Larsson (4:6, 6:0, 6:1) Olga Govortsova (6:3, 6:2), Teliana Pereira (6:2, 6:2), Belinda Bencic (7:5, 6:4). She won the 100 000 USD ITF event in Midland on hard track. In the final she defeated Ksenia Pervak (6:4, 6:0).
