Timea Babos (Hungarian, 10)-Katerina Siniakova (Czech, 7) 6:1, 4:6, 6:1

“I am terribly happy with today’s victory! Siniakova is a good player, she has a better position in the WTA Ranking. She had fine victories in the past months. Offensive opponent, but We worked out a good tactic with Thomas, I’ve managed to do it. And this has been brought to success. Of course I do not want to be satisfied with this, I want to win more matches in the main draw too! 🙂 I’m also interested in doubles, I will play with Kristina again. The draw is good, I hope we will play well 🙂 Thanks for your support!”– Timi said.

The 20-minute first set was a dream! The 18-year old Czech player won the opening game, but after that she had no chance. Timi was fantastic. Behind the serves she lost only one rally, and she broke the rival three times.

The 36-minute second set was totally different. The Czech teen served and received much better, and she broke Timi after 4:4. In the next game Siniakova didn’t lost a rally.

So came the final set! Timi started badly, from 30-15 she lost her service game, but then came the turnover. The 21-year old Hungarian player has won six games in a row, she broke the opponent three times. Timi won the last game to 30, and advanced to the main draw.
