Timi & Mandy won a set against the world’s best pair

26/03/2013 – It was a very close match, but no sensation at second round in doubles at Sony Open Tennis at Miami.

The encounter lasted 1 hour 29 minutes.

Timi and Mandy hoped for good result before the game, but it was also clear that the Italian double is the big favorite. Errani and Vinci celebrated big successes in the last, as shown in the three Grand Slam victories and earned rank position. The experienced duo lead with big advantage of this years points standing.

 

Errani and Vinci started the match better, even though in the first game they not won two break points, but in the next return game they take advantage of the third chance. Fortunately Timi and Mandy never gave up, at 3:2 they were able to take back the break, and after that they led 4:3.

 

The Italians settled again, won their opponent’s next service game, and served for the first set. Timi & Mandy Minella, however, equalized, and then breaks the opponent, won the first set in 42 minutes!

 

In the second set Errani and Vinci, subsequently proved their skills. At 2:2 the again broke the rivals serve, then defended two break points, to earn a 4:2 advantage. Timi and Mandy fought hard, but eventually the Italians equalized in 35 minutes.

 

In the all-important tie-break Errani and Vinci had the upper hand, steadily increased their lead with confidence and won.
