“After the match I was terribly angry … Since then, I’ve been sad, now I’m starting to feel satisfied with my performance this week. I’m sorry the final match because it was in my hand, in the final set 5:4, 30-30 was when we had to come off due to rain. Of course this is no excuse, because then I could have won that. But after l broke her at  4:4, I think I had the psychological advantage to beat her. All in all, I am happy, because in the last few days, I had a lot of will to fight, although I worked very hard. After all, I lost against the world ranking 49 I in a final set tie-break-in. It could have also vice versa, but that’s tennis. I want to win in the next tournament. Thanks for all your support through the whole week! And yet some words for the evening: GO HUNGARIANS!!! After such a wet day in Donetsk you will be definitely good in the water at the Aquatics WCH in Barcelona! “ – Timi said after the final in Ukraine.

In the eight game Svitolina again lost her serve, and after that Timi smoothly her her own service game to 0, she won the set 6:3!

The 32-minute second act was Svitolina’s, she served and recieved better. At the beginning she broke Timi, and at the end she also won her rival’s serve to 40. So come the final act.

In the third set Timi had several break points at 2:2, but without success. However, after 4-4 she broke Svitolina, and after that she served for the Viccourt Cup. But the heavens intervened, rain break occurred at 30-30. After a one and a half hour break, unfortunately, the Ukrainian broke back. Then came the decisive tie-break.
