|Stefanie Voegele (Swiss)-Timea Babos (Hungarian), 6:4, 7:5|
The scenario of the two sets was similar in many places, unfortunately. The 22-year-old Swiss player broke twice in both sets, while the Hungarian tennis player once.
After the 44-minute first act, Timi started well in the second set, led 3.1. It seemed that the serve is fine, but then faltered, Voegele took advantage of this and rapidly equalized.
In the next two service games Timi was confident, but then at 5:5, the Swiss was the better again. Voegele broke her opponent fourth time and soon won her second match point.
It proved decisive that Timi won 52, while Voegele 73 percent of the points after first serves. Behind the second serve it was 62 to 46 percent successes. Timi collected 25, the opponent 29 points as a receiver.
“Unfortunately, the forehand “let down” Timi at the beginning of the match: in two minutes gone two months of work. She did not play well; we have to explain why her performance fell out comparing to the workout, to the sparing games. Today she had bad decisions in the important points; she gave easy games to the opponent. She cramping during the match, despite the excellent tactics, despite excellent physical condition. In training she played well against good players.., “- said Timi’s father,Csaba Babos.
Next week Timi enter the field in Hobart: it is still questionable whether she will begin in the qualifying or in the main draw.
