06/10/2015 – The 4th seed pair won in 51 minutes in the second round of the China Open. They will face a local double in the quarter-final.

The Hungarian-French double responded well to the key moments of the match, almost every time.Timi and Kristina Mladenovic saved a total of eight break points, while the opponent saved only once.


In the 26-minute first set the fourth-seed Hungarian-French duo won the opponent’s serve for the first time at 2:1, but then unfortunately could not win their own after 40-15 (3:2).


But after that Timi and Mladenovic won three games in a row, until the end of the set. The fourth-seed duo broke the oponent to 15, then to 0.


The second set brought a much different scenario. Timi and Mladenovic jumped to a 4:1 lead, with a break. But until that, they saved a total of 8 break points, they saved their service game twice from 15-40 and once from 30-40.


At the end, after 4:1 the Hungarian-French pair broke the opponent to 15, then hold their serve also to 15.


Timi and Kristina Mladenovic will face a Chinese pair it the quarter-final. Chen Liang and Yafan Wang defeated the 6th seed pair, Caroline Garcia and Katerina Srebotnik 7:6, 6:3. This was revealed in Beijing on Wednesday.
