Timea Babos, Kristina Mladenovic (Hungarian, French, 1)-Laura Siegemund, Maryna Zanevska (German, Ukrainian) 6:1, 7:6 (7-5)

“Obviously, it was not easy the play after such a special singles semifinal. Kiki was very fair, we can play well together. I’m glad with this WTA tournament victory. This is another small step to reach our goal, the year-ending WTA Finals”– Timi said happily.

Two years ago Timi won that event with Mandy Minella. In the final they defeated the pair of Petra Martic and Mladenovic.

This Timi played with Kiki, the final was shortly after their special singles semifinal.

In the 21-minute first set the Hungarian-French pair played very well, they broke the opponent twice. They gave no chance for the German-Ukrainian double.

Timi and Mladenovic jumped to a 3:1 lead in the second set, but then came a huge turnaround. Siegemund and Zanevska equalized, they came back twice from a break down.

In the tie-break Siegemund and Zanevska led 5-2, with two breaks. They served for the set, but Timi and Mladenovic won 5 rally in a row. So the first seed pair finished the final!
