04/04/2014 – Timi and Olga Govortsova won a two sets match against Asia Muhammad and Allie Will, so they got to the semifinal of the 500 000 USD WTA tournament in Monterrey.
The match lasted 1 hour 24 minutes. The Hungarian- Belarusian duo ‘s next opponent will be Kimiko Date-Krumm and Karolina Pliskova.

“I’m glad with the semi-final! The opponent has very good serves, so it was necessary for good riturns. Luckily, it worked well for me today, I am satisfied. Tomorrow is a training day, then we are facing a difficult match on Saturday” – Timi said .
The match was very close throughout, the American duo had a break advantage in both sets.
In the 38-minute first set the American duo broke Govortsova at 3:3, but Will immediately lost her service game to 40. Then Timi, Muhammad and Govortsova hold her service game, but Will again was uncertain. She lost her serve to 30, and with it the whole set.
By then the 20-year-old Hungarian had very good serves, but in the first game of he second set the Americans broke her to 30. Timi and Govortsova equalized at 3:3, they broke Muhammad, first time. At 4:4 Timi saved two break points, then at 5:5 Govortsova won her game from 0-30.
At 6:5 Will had a 40-15 lead, but after that Timi and Govortsova was the better. The young Hungarian equalized to 40-40 with a superb passing shot, then won the quarterfinal with a good return.
The first seeds will meet Kimiko Date-Krumm and Karolina Pliskova. Last year Timi won the doubles event in Monterrey with the Japanese legend.
