25/02/2014 – Timi and Jarmila Gajdosova won two setter match in the first round of the doubles tournament at the 250 000 USD Brasil Tennis Cup.
The Hungarian-Australian pair defeated Paula Cristina Goncalves and Laura Pigossi (Brazil ), in 62 minutes in Florianpolis. Timi and Gajdosova will meet Julia Glushko and Paula Kania (Israeli and Polish) in the quarterfinal.

The start of the match was difficult, as the Brazilian double provided surprisingly good performance. Goncalves and Pigossi repeatedly struck their opponent, had a break point at 1:1. Timi saved it with a lucky volley, the ball trickled from the top of the net to the opposite side…
The Hungarian-Australian duo had problems with receiving, they had no break poinchances are much more Hungarian- Australian dual long missed well , so there was no cht til 4:3. Then they won the opponent’s service game, but after that Timi lost her own.
Luckily the Hungarian-Australian pair didn’t have a oroblem in the next game, they broke the rival to 0.
The second set was much smoother. Timi and Gajdosova offered better performance, they had a break point at 1:0. The Brazilians were saved , but there was no chance then. The Hungarian-Australian took total control, they broke at 2:1 and 4:1 to 30. In the last game the Hungarian youngster won her service game to 30.
Timi and Jarmila Gajdosova will meet Julia Glushko and Paula Kania in the quarterfinal. The Israeli-Polish duo jumped to the main draw after Monica Niculescu and Klara Zakopalova withdraw.
