“I started the match well, obviously the 6:0 shows that. But nevertheless there were strong rallies and close games. Then in the second set something very interesting happened. I wanted to reach a drop shot, and I slipped a little bit, to make a 15 cm hole on the court….The match stood for almost 20 minutes, the organizers wanted to repair the court. Then after the restart the same story repeated, so we must change the court. It did not work well for me, Pereira jumped to a 5:1 lead. I came back, but I lost the tie-break, 7-5. It was not easy to stand up there, but I struggled as I could. And fortunately it paid off. It was a very tough match, I think the victory is very valuable one. And of course I’m happy to reach the last eight!” – said Timi.
