Thailand: Timi retired due to illness

29/01/2019 – Tamara Zidanšek (Slovenia) led 6:0, 3:1, 30-15.

The 25-year-old Hungarian player, due to illness and dizziness, was unable to finish her first match at the 250 000 USD WTA Tour event in Thailand.

“Hi!

Thanks for the many worried messages, it was very good to think of me. Unfortunately I was throwing up all night yesterday, tired and exhausted. I’m very sorry for this match, the place is fantastic and I came as a defending champion, I was ready to fight, but today I was fighting a windmill, I had no chance. You know, I’m not made of soft wood, I’m frustrated, but I hope I’ll be getting ready soon and I’m ready to fight again” – wrote Timi on Facebook.
