Tashkent: winning start in doubles

25/09/2017 – The Hungarian-Czech pair led 6:1, 3:0, and then there were problems with the own service games.

The match lasted 1 hour and 12 minutes in Tashkent.

 

In the 22-minute first set, the Hungarian-Czech pair dominated the game and did not give a chance for the Russians. Timi and Hlaváčková broke them to 40 after 1:0, then the Czech player saved her serve from 15-40. In the next game, the top seed pair lost only a single rally as a receiver, then led 5:0.

 

Blinkova and Kudryavtseva won the sixth game, but after that, Timi and her partner won their serve to 0. So the opening act ended.

 

The beginning of the second set was also one-sided. Timi and Hlaváčková had twice broke their opponent to 30, but after 3:0, came a surprising change … The Czech player could not win her serve from 40-15, and after 3: 2 Timi won only two rallies behind the serves. The came another two break, and after 4:4 the Russians hold their own service game to 40.

 

Fortunately, Timi and Hlaváčková then returned to the right path. The Hungarian player won his serve to 30, then they broke the opponent to 15. After 6:5, Hlaváčková managed to hold her serve to 40.

 

The top seed Hungarian-Czech pair will meet the team of Monique Adamczak (Ausztralian, WTA-62) and Lizette Cabrera (Australian, WTA-258).
