The match lasted 1 hour and 11 minutes.

 

The Hungarian player began well the 37-minute opening set: she won her opponent’s serve to 40 in the first game, then hold her service to 0. Timi led 3:2, when came th ebig turn. She had two balls for 4:2, but the aggressive and accurate Diathchenko broke her, and keep the rhythm.

 

After 4:3, the Russian player won her opponent’s serve to 15, then hold her game to 30.

 

At the beginning of the second set, Diathchenko broke to 0, and hold her lead comfortably. Before the sixth game, Timi ask for medical time, but this did not help her too much. The 3rd seeded Russian player broke to 30, after 4:2, then won the last game to 15.
