13/02/2015 – Timi won in two close sets against Alexandra Panova in the first round of the qualies at the 2 513 000 USD WTA tournament in Dubai.
The match lasted 1 hour 27 minutes. The Hungarian player’s next opponent will be the 7th seed Katerina Siniakova.

In the first 39-minute first set Panova immediately lost her serve, but she broke the opponent to 30 in the next game. After 1:1 Timi broke to 0, then she hold that lead.
At 3:2 the Hungarian youngster saved a break point, then she won the 10th game to 30, after 30-30.
At the beginning of the second set Timi broke Panova to 15, and after that came the longest and most exciting game of the match. The Russian player had a total of 5 break points. But Timi saved them, and won the game.
At 3:1 Panova saved three break points, but it was her last little success. At the last period of the match Timi hold her service games and advanced to the next round.
The Hungarian player’s next opponent will be the World No 79 Katerina Siniakova. Her career best was 73 (10 November 2014) in singles. Throughout her career, she has won six ITF competition.
