08/05/2015 – On Friday tha qualifying draw was made for the 2 707 664 USD WTA tournament in Rome: Timi’s opponent wll be the 14th seed Silvia Soler-Espinosa.
The 21-year old Hungarian player is ranked 78th, while her opponent is ranked 69th in the latest world rankings.
Soler-Espinosa’s (27) career best position was 54 (21 May 2012). During her career she has won 4 ITF singles competition. Last year she was a finalist in Strasbourg at the 250,000 USD hardcourt WTA tournament. This season she has no outstanding results, she won only three matches. After the Australian Open in Melbourne she has no success – “says” the The WTA and ITF statistics. Last week in Marrakech she lost 6:4, 6:4 on clay against Anna-Karolina Schmiedlova.
Timi has already met twice Soler-Espinosa. Last year, at the ITF clay court event in Prague the young Hungarian player won 7:6, 6:2. This year in Monterrey Timi won on hard court 6:4, 6:3. The Hungarian youngter had only one hour pause after the qualifying final round in Mexico.
In the last few days Timi had viral disease with diarrhea and vomiting, she needed to skip three days. In the Italian capital she will play also doubles, again with Kristina Mladenovic.
