Shvedova won in three sets against Timi

23/09/2013 – Timi has finished her appearance at the 125 000 USD WTA tournament in Ningbo, after losing in three sets against Yaroslava Shvedova in the first round.

The match lasted 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Yaroslava Shvedova (Kazakh, 7)-Timea Babos (Hungarian) 6:1, 2:6, 6:2

“Unfortunately today I did not play the way I wanted. In the first set she played very well, she knocked down me from the field without errors. Then I felt at one moment that I have a chance. I won my first break point with a cool, running forehand pass shot. I struggled, I run a lot and fought hard, but today I didn’t play well enough. Now I go home, then practice and then came Linz”– Timi said.

The two players in recent weeks repeatedly “bumped”, jointly won the doubles tournament in Tashkent, and last week Timi and Olga Govortsova won against Shvedova and Zhang Shuai in the first round in Guangzhou.

However this time the more experienced Kazakh player was the better on the court. In the 31-minute first set broke her rival at 1:1, lived with the fourth chance. Then Shvedova was unstoppable, Timi had no chance.

In the first game of the 35-minute second set the 20-year-old Hungarian player broke the Kazakh rival, then had another break point at 2:0. Shvedova saved it, but at 4:2 Timi again won her opponent’s service game, and easily won the set.

Unfortunately, in the third set Timi’s serves were not good enough…The youngHungarian broke at 0:0, but after that she lost her service game four times. In the seventh game she had three break points, but without success. And at 5:2 Shvedova broke to 40, which closed the match of the Tashkent doubles champions.
