10/10/2015 – On Saturday the main draw was made in singles at the 500 000 USD Tianjin Open, in China.
Timi’s opponent will be the World No155 Alla Kudryavtseva. The 27-year old Russian player’s career best was 56 (4 October 2010). In doubles she is ranked 22nd, her career best was 15 (8 September 2014).
So far Kudryavtseva won 1 WTA and 2 ITF event in singles. In doubles she has won 2 WTA and 13 ITF tournament. This year she couldn’t won in singles or doubles.
The experienced Russian player this year reached the quarter-final from the qualies in Brisbane (Australia, 1,000,000 USD, hard court), then she was a finalists in June in Eastbourne (England, 50,000 USD / ITF, grass).
In mid-August she was a semifinalist in Vancouver, Canada (100,000 USD / ITF, hard court).
Timi has competed twice in singles against Kudryavtseva. The Hungarian youngster won in 2012 at New Haven (5:7, 6:3, 6:4) and lost in 2014 at Indian Wells (7:5, 3:6, 6:4).
On Sunday the doubles draw was also made at the Tianjin Open: this time Timi will play with Magda Linette. The Polish player is ranked 131st, her career best was 95 (27 July 2015). So far, she has won 8 ITF event in doubles.
In the opening round Timi and Linette will meet the pair of Irina Khromacheva and Ksenia Lykina.
The 20-year old Khromacheva is ranked 137th, this is her career best position. So far, she has won 16 ITF tournament in doubles, this year she celebrated 4 times. She remained undefeated in Plantation (United States, 25 000 USD / ITF, clay. Co: Asia Muhammad), in Minsk (Belarus, 25 000 USD / ITF, clay, Co: Valentina Ivakhnenko), in Moscow (Russia, 25 000 USD / ITF, clay, Co: Polina Leykina) and in Darmstadt (Germany, 25,000 dollars / ITF, Co: Lidziya Marozava).
The 25-year old Lykina is ranked 180th, her career best was 132 (7 June 2010). So far, she has won 10 ITF tournament, this year she remained unbeaten in El Kantaoui (Tunisia, USD 10,000 / ITF, hard court, Co: Francesca Stephenson).
