The match lasted 2 hour and 20 minutes in Rome.

 

In the 52-minute opening azt Timi Led with two break. Firstly she won the opponens’s serve to 30, then to 40 in a big battle, living with the fifth chance. Then the local girl played better. Both of the broke twice, Timi finished the set as a receiver.

 

The 42-minute second set brought a big turn. Gatto-Monticone served much better, winning six games after 0:1. The Italian player broke three times to 40, after big battles.

 

Fortunately Timi was the better player is Set 3. She lost her break advantage twice, but she hold the third lead. It was crucial, that she broke again after 4:2. She Led 40-0, and loved with the sixth chance. Timi won the lest game to 0.

 

The Hungarian player’s next opponent will be the 4th seeded Arantxa Rus.
