On Friday afternoon, the main draw was made for singles in Paris at the second Grand Slam tournament of the 2017 season: the World No35 Tímea Babos will meet Alizé Cornet.

 

The Frenchwoman (born: 22 January, 1990), is ranked was 43th, her career best position was 11 (16 February 2009). During her career, she won 5 WTAs (2008: Budapest, 2012: Bad Gastein, 2013: Strasbourg, 2014: Katowice, 2016: Hobart) and 3 ITFs.

 

This year Alizé Cornet was finalist in Brisbane (Australia, 1 000 000 USD, hard court), and reached the QF in Monterrey (Mexico, 250 000 USD, hard court). On clay, she won 1 match (Rome: Sara Errani 6:3, 6:4) and lost 4 times.
