25/05/2016 – After losing the opening set Timi and Shvedova improved and relatively smoothly won against the Rodionova sisters.

The match lasted 1 hour 49 minutes.
It was a difficult, a very difficult start of the match from the Hungarian-Kazakh duo’s point of view. At the beginning of the 39-minute first set, the Russian-born, but already Australian pair broke the opponent after 40-30…And they hold that lead till 4:3. Then Timi and Shvedova won the opponent’s service game to 30, and led 40-30 behind their own serve. But Anastasia & Arina Rodionova repeated the feat from the opening game and broke again the rival…
In the final game of the opening set Timi and Shvedova saved a total of three set points, but the fourth chance was crucial for the opponents.
At the beginning of the 42-minute second set came the turn-around. brought a turn. Timi and Shvedova broke to 40 after 1:0, and then came a real thriller. The Rodionova sisters led 40-0 as a receiver, and they had a total of 5 break points. But without success. The Hungarian-Kazakh duo leveled each time, and finally they defended the serve.
Then Timi and Shvedova easily reached a 5:2, and after that, they broke the opponent to 40, again.
In the third set the Hungarian-Kazakh duo began with a break, but they immediately lost that lead. But they won the opponent’s serve again, so they led 3:1. Minutes later they won the rival’s serve, which practically decided the fate of the match.
In the last game the fourth seeds hold their serve to 30.
In the second round Timi and Svedova will meet the pair of Dominika Cibulkova & Kirsten Flipkens, or Myrtille Georges & Alize Lim.
