30/05/2014 – Timi and Eric Butorac won in three sets against Janette Husarova and Oliver Marach.
The match lasted 1 hour 28 minutes. The Hungarian-American couple’s next opponent will be Sania Mirza and Horia Tecau.

“It was a great experience to play my first match in mixed doubles! Eric is a good guy, it also helped me a lot. Tomorrow will be another match! – Timi said happily.
The 39-minute first brought great battle, till 5:5 both double hold their service games, saving one break point each. In the 11th game Timi and her partner led 40-0, then at 40-15 came the rain. After the interval the Slovak-Austrian duo broke the rival, then won the next game to 40.
In the first part of the second set Timi and Eric Butorac excelled, they broke the rival twice, pulled away 5:1. It seemed that comes the final set within seconds , but it did not. Husarova and Marach saved set point, and won four games in a row…
Fortunately, at 5:5 Timi and her partner hold their service game, then broke again the rival to. So come the all-important tie-break.
In the tie-break the Hungarian and American player quickly lost the 2-0 lead, but after 3-3 they didn’t give chance for the opponent. Timi and Butorac won seven rallies and they reached the last 16 at the Roland Garros.
The Hungarian and American player will meet Sania Mirza and Horia Tecau in the second round. The Indian-Romanian duo won against the fourth seed double of Kveta Pechke and Marcin Matkowski (4:6, 6:3, 10-7).
