04/06/2014 – Timi and Eric Butorac finished their appearance at the French Open, after losing the semifinal in two sets against Julia Goerges and Nenad Zimonjic.
The match lasted 53 minutes.

“Great success, consider that I got into the semifinal at my first mixed doubles tournament. I feel sorry for today’s match, but I did not want to be greedy. It was a good week! Tomorrow we’ll travel to Engnald, then come Birmingham, Eastbourne and Wimby”– Timi said.
At the beginning of the semifinal Timi and Eric Butorac had great chances, but they lost two break points at 1:1. After that the rival took the upper hand.
At 2:1 Goerges and Zimonjic broke to 15, and they repeated this at 5:2. Thus, the eight seed pair won the set in 25 minutes.
In the second set the German-Serbian duo broke the opponent at 1:0, this time to 30. They jumped to a 3:0 lead, which decided the whole match. Timi and Eric Butorac had two break points at 3:1, but again without success.
Goerges and Zimonjic won the last game as a receiver, they lived with the second match point. So they got into the final at Roland Garros.
The 21-year-old Hungarian player’s next tournament will be the Aegon Classic at Birmingham at grass.
