Roland Garros 2012: Timi won in doubles

30/05/2012 – Two days after the horrible singles match Tímea Babos improved at the French Open, she reached the second round in doubles with Hsieh Su-Wei.

ROLAND GARROS (PARIS, GRAND SLAM COMPETITION, CLAY), DOUBLES, 1ST ROUND
Timea Babos, Hsieh Su-Wei (Hungary, Taipei)- Alize Cornet, Virginie Razzano (France), 6:3, 6:1

The 22-year-old Cornet is 79th ranked in doubles: in 2008 she won in Budapest with, the Slovak Janette Husarova, while in 2010 in Strasbourg celebrated with American Vania King. Virginie Razzano (29) ranked 165th, in 2011 triumphed in Paris with the Croatian Iva Majoli.

Razzano confidence thoroughly extended on Tuesday, in a singles clash dramatically surpassed the former world number one Serena Williams, but luckily on Wednesday she didn’t celebrate.

Yet the French started better on the Court 14, they broke immediately. But they squandered their advantage in a rapidly game, in which they hit three double. This calm the Timi and Hsieh; they again broke at 3:2 and had won the set in 32 minutes.

The second act was much smoother. The Hungarian-Taiwanese double rapidly lost the break advantage, but they didn’t give chance to the opponent after 1:1. Timi and Hsieh made much less mistakes, deserved the smooth success.
