“I’m happy with today’s match, it was not easy. I had az unknown opponent in front of a local fans. I  did not know her, because We never met before. I’m happy with the win and the fact that after a long, bad summer I managed to win again. This is very positive” – said Timi.

In the 43-minute first set, the 17-year-old Canadian player kept up the pace with her opponent for a long time. Last week’s Washington quarter-finalist and World No144 Andreescu won her service games in a big battle til 3:3, while she did not have a chance as a receiver.
