05/06/2013 – Timi has been eliminated in the first round of the 100 000 USD tournament in Marseille.
The Hungarian player lost in two sets against Polona Hercog. The meeting lasted 1 hour 26 minutes.

The Slovenian player is currently ranked on the 131st position, but she had a long break caused by a wrist injury. One and a half year ago she was 35th, she is a talented, good player.
Unfortunately, Hercog proved it in the first round of the Open Feminin de Marseille. She lost her first service game, but after that she received very well, she had seven break points in the first set. Hercog broke her rival twice, led 5:2.
Timi then took control, broke at 5:3, then equalized to 5:5. The set finally decided by the tie-break. The seventh seed Hungarian had two set points after 6-4, but Hercog equalized, then at 7-6 she took advantage of her first set point.
After the 59-minute first set the second act was very smooth…Hercog broke Timi immediately, and again at 3:1…After that the Hungarian player had no chance to turn things back.
