Quebec: another straight victory in doubles

14/09/2017 – The Hungarian-Czech pair broke the opponent a total of three times.

The match lasted 59 minutes in Quebec City.


In the 27-minute first set act Timi and Hlaváčková immediately broke their opponent (to 30), which proved to be decisive. The Hungarian-Czech pair served impressivly and gave no chance to the American couple. Krawczyk and Loeb saved two break points in the seventh game, but only extended the opening act.


Timi and her partner won the next service game to 0, after 4:3. Then they broke the rival to 40, so they finished the set.


The Hungarian-Czech pair broke to 40 Krawczyk and Loeb in the second game of the second set. And this was decisive for the fate of the match. Timi and Hlaváčková served well, the opponent could not reched for a break point. After 5:2, the US-pair saved a match point, but in the next game they won only a single rally.


Timi and Hlaváčková will meet María Irigoyen and Camilla Rosatello in the semifinal.
