Pretoria: victorious semifinal in Doubles

The match lasted 1 hour and 11 minutes in Pretoria.


Timi reached the finals in doubles for the first time this year, with Valeria Savinykh winning the third match in two sets in Pretoria. It is interesting that the Hungarian player last entered the ITF World Tennis Tour Finals in this genre on 11 November, 2011, and has since achieved outstanding success at the WTA Tour and WTA Finals, as well as the Grand Slam, also orgenized by the ITF.


At the beginning of the Pretoria semi-final, after 1:1, both doubles lost their serve, then Timi and Valeria Savinykh broke to 40. Both doubles then brought their serve, and at 5:4, the 1st seeds won their own game to 30.


The second act was much smoother. Timi and her partner pulled away to 4:0, both times winning their opponent’s game to 40. In the sequel, the two doubles played some high-quality rallies, and after 5:2, the No. 1 pair brought their serve to 40, thus finishing the semifinal.


In the final Timi and Valeria Savinykh will meet Eudice Chong (WTA Doubles Ranking: 193) and Hong Yi Cody Wong (330) from Hongkong.
