The match lasted 1 hour and 53 minutes.

 

At the start of the 70-minute opening act, Timi broke to 40 (1:0) but lost her serve after 2:1. In the sequel, until 5:5, both players served very successfully. Then in the 11th game, Nahimana saved her serve from a break ball, and soon a tie-break came.

 

In the tie-break, Timi led twice with a break, but lost both of her serve after 3-2. Fortunately, after that the Hungarian player was better and more accurate again.

 

The beginning of the second set was still tight. Nahimana intercepted 4 and Timi 1 break ball. After 2:2, however, the Hungarian player was much more efficient, losing a total of 3 rally in the next 4 game, breaking to 0 and 15.

 

Timi’s opponent will be the 1st seeded Oceane Dodin in Saturday’s semifinal.

 

The French player (born: 24 October, 1996) is 101st in the World Rankings, 46th as the best of her career (12 June, 2017). Dodin has won 1 WTA Tour and 11 ITF events in Singles.
The two players have met twice before: Timi won in 2014 in Poitiers in the final 6:3, 4:6, 7:5, in 2017 in Budapest in the quarter-final 6:4, 2:6, 6:1.
