06/06/2015 – On Saturday afternoon the main draw was made in s’Hertogenbosch at the 250 000 grass court WTA tournament.
At the end of April in Marrakech semifinal the Hungarian player won 6:4, 6:4 against her French partner on clay.
Mladenovic is currently ranked 44th, while Timi is ranked 81st.
The French player’s career best is 36 (2013, August 26). So far she has won 1 WTA and 4 ITF tournament in singles. In recent weeks, she has achieved outstanding results. After the semifinal in Marrakech she played in the final of the Strasbourg clay court event, she lost the last match against Samantha Stosur (3:6, 6:2, 6:3).
In the first round of Roland Garros Timi lost 6:0, 6:1 against the 11th seed Angelique Kerber. Meanwhile Mladenovic won the first round against the 6th seed Eugenie Bouchard (6:4, 6:4), then defeated Danka Kovinic (6:3, 7:5). In the third round the French player lost against Alison Van Uytvanck (6:4, 6:1).
This season Timi and Mladenovic won three tournaments in doubles, together. At the Roland Garros they lost in the second round.
On Sunday at noon, the draw was made for doubles at s’Hertogenbosch: Timi and Mladenovic will meet the wild-cardist Eugenie Bouchard and Lesia Tsurenko.
The 21-year old Canadian player rarely enter the doubles events, so she is ranked only 1094th. Her career best was 103 (12 August 2013) was. So far she has won 1 ITF tournament in this genre. According to the ITF and WTA statistics, she played in Women’s Doubles last time at Wimbledon 2014. She lost in the opening round with Heather Watson.
The 26-year old Ukrainian player is ranked 614th, her career best is 116 (16 August 2010). So far, she has won 8 ITF event in this genre. She played last time in July 2014, at an ITF tournament in France.
