Miami: the draw for singles and doubles

20/03/2017-21/03/2017 – Timi got Bye for the opening round, then she will meet Pauline Parmentier.

 

The draw was made in singles for the 7 669 423 USD WTA tournament, called Miami Open: Timi got Bye for the opening round, then she will meet Pauline Parmentier in the 2nd round.

 

The 23-year old Hungarian player is ranked 28th (at the time of the draw), and she is seeded 24th.

 

Parmentier (born: 31 January 1986) is ranked 62nd, her career best position was 40 (July 21, 2008). So far, she has won 2 WTA (2007: Tashkent, 2008: Bad Gastein) and 10 ITF tournament. Timi meet her twice and won in 2014 in Poitiers, 6:3, 6:2 away, while in 2016 in Rabat, 6:3, 6:3.

 

In doubles Timi (WTA-12) and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (WTA-79) will meet Alja Tomljanovic and Heather Watson.

 

The 23-year old Croatian player could not start for more than a year, she returned to the WTA Tour in Acapulco, then at Indian Wells. Tomljanovic is currently not included in the doubles world rankings, her career best position was 48 (20 October 2014). So far, she has won 3 ITF competition.

The 24-year old British player is ranked 80th, her career best position was 45 (April 15, 2013). Watson has won 3 WTA and 1 1 ITF tournament in doubles.
