Miami: good start in doubles

2017-03-25 – After the second half of the opening set the Hungarian-Russian played confidently.

Tímea Babos, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (Hungarian, Russian)-Alja Tomljanovic, Heather Watson (Croatian, British) 6:3, 6:1

 

The match lasted 61 minutes.

The Hungarian-Russiab pair started the match bumpy, they quickly lost the early break advantage. At the beginning, Pavlyuchenkova not really found the rhythm of the match, but her Hungarian partner keep the duo in the meeting, thanks to great serves (3:2). Then Tomljanovic and Watson are rarely complicated the opponent’s job.

In the sixth game, Timi and Pavlyuchenkova broke the British player after 30-0. After 5:3, they hold their service game to 15.

 

The second set is formed more smoothly. Timi and Pavlyuchenkova now had the upper hand behind the serves and as a receiver. The Hungarian-Russian pair did not excelled, but they still collected a lot of points with beautiful solution. The wild cardist Croatian-Australian duel won a game at 4:0, but then again, the opponent was better.
