27/03/2017 – After the successful opening set, the opponent took control and reverse.

Sania Mirza, Barbora Strycova (Indian, Czech, 7)-Tímea Babos, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (Hungarian, Russian) 1:6, 6:1, 10-4

 

The match lasted 1 hour, 1 minute in Miami.

 

The 3rd seed Indian-Czech pair began well the 24-minute first set, they broke the opponent. But then, they got no chance. Timi and Pavlyuchenkova won six games in a row! The Hungarian-Russian pair broke the rival to 30, to 0,and to 40, they played good tennis. In the last game of the opening act, they won their service game to 15.

 

The 27-minute second set was almost the opposite of the first…Mirza and Strycova broke the opponent after 1:0, to 40. Then, after 4:1, they won two crucial game, with great saved. They won the opponent’s serve after 40-0, they saved their own service game after 15-40.

 

In the final act, in the deciding tie-break Timi and Pavlyuchenkova won a receiver’s point, firstly. But after that the opponent came back strongly. Timi and her partner brke the rival at 7-3, but thenMirza and Strycova was the better pair on the court.

 

Next week Timi will play in Monterrey.
