21/04/2014 – After the qualies on Monday the main draw was made in Seoul for the 50 000 USD ITF-tournament: Timi will meet the local hero, Lee So-Ra.
The Hungarian player is ranked 119th, after the 250 000 USD BMW Malaysian Open. In Kuala Lumpur she won the doubles event with Chan Hao-Ching. The Hungarian youngster is on the 31st place from Monday. Her career best was 26th, by February 3.
It is interesting that in terms of the 2014 season titles only Klara Koukalova (ex: Zakopalova) and Shuai Peng is better, with 3-3 triumphs each. Timi celebrated 2 titles this year, just as Serena Williams, Li Na, Kristina Mladenovic, Hsieh Su-Wei, Alla Kudryavtseva , Anastasia Rodionova, Ana Ivanovic, Caroline Garcia, Monica Niculescu , Anabel Medina Garrigues and Yaroslava Shvedova.
In the Doubles Race of 2014 the Hungarian player is in the Top 40 with four partners as well. With Lucie Safarova is 17th, with Kristina Mladenovic is 35th, with Petra Martic is 36th, and with Chan is 39.
Timi first time this year will be included in an ITF tournament. Last year she started five times: in Johannesburg she was the winner of the Soweto Open, played the final in Donetsk and Toronto, in Saguenay reached the last four, while she lost in the first round in Marseille.
