29/04/2014 – Timi served and received very well, so she won in two sets against Yurika Sema in the first round of the 75 000 USD ITF tournament in Gifu.
The match lasted 53 minutes. The Hungarian player’s next opponent will be Storm Sanders.

Timi gave no chance for her rival in the large part of the match. In the 27-minute first set she broke Sema after 2:2. The 20-year old Hungarian player lived with the second chance, won the opponent’s service game to 30 (3:2).
The second seed of the Kangaroo Cup easily hold the lead, then at 5:3 she broke again the Japanese player, so she won the opening set.
In the second Timi had three break points at 3:2 and she won the last. After that she hold her service game in a great battle. Sema fought bravely, but had no real chance for a turn-around. After 5:3 Timi lost no point in her last service game.
The Hungarian players had “only” two aces , but had no double faults. Timi lost only 11 points as a server, but won 26 as a receiver.
Timi ‘s next opponent is Australia’s Storm Sanders (261st position), who won 6:2, 6:3 against the Thai Noppawan Lertcheewakarn (225). Last week Sanders triumphed against the young Hungarian 6:7, 6:3, 6:4 in the second round in Seoul.
