“It was a pretty emotional day! Unfortunately, the singles could not be the way I wanted . But I feel like I have not played so badly … I tried to implement the tactical elements that we were practiced in the past few weeks, but nothing worked today . If I did something , then my opponent responded with even better punches . If the plan A did not work, then I tried to Plan B, but nothing … My opponent has not given a chance to prevail my tactics. Then it was hard to stand up for the doubles. Half on hour was not enough, and the first and second set was not enough. But I feel like the third set was good, by then I calmed down . Then I played it as the last time I used to play in doubles” – Timi said at the end of the day.

In the first match Réka Jani has smoothly brought the first set , but after that she had problems with the opponent . The 16-year old Jelena Ostapenko since gotten amazing courage and she was so strong after poor start. However, the much more experienced Hungarian player quietly waited for chances in the second set, after 4:4 she broke the Latvian teen and smoothly won the last game.
