Hungary-Israel 2-1: Timi played and won in doubles

09/02/2014 – The Hungarian women’s tennis team defeated 2-1 Israel for the fifth place play-off at Fed Cup at the Europe/Africa Zone I.

Timi planned a rest day, but she played and won in doubles with Réka Jani.

Timi planned a rest day after six difficult matches (3 singles, 3 doubles), but the rookie Szabina Szlavikovics injured in the first match of the play-off. So, the best Hungarian play and won with Réka Jani in the doubles. The home pair had the control of the match, they broke four times the rival. The Israeli double broke back in the second set to 4:4, but after that Timi and Réka didn’t lost a point.
