|HUNGARIAN GRAND PRIX (BUDAPEST, 235 000 USD, CLAY), DOUBLES, QUARTERFINAL|
|Sandra Klemenschits, Andreja Klepac (Austrian, Slovenian)-Timea Babos, Alicja Rosolska (Hungarian, Polish, 2) 7:5, 6:1|
Timi and Alicja Rosolska were the clear favourites, but they played well only for a few minutes …
The Hungarian-Polish first “came together”, and that is often looked at the court. The more routine opponent played solid tennis, they took advantage of mistakes of the opponent. Rosolska immediately lost her service game, but the second seed pair still managed to work off this disadvantage. Timi and Rosolska led 5:4 after 1:3, but then the recent run of errors “helped” the Austrian-Slovenian pair.
The second set has not made a difference. Klemenschits and Klepac jumped to a 4:0 lead…Timi and Rosolska then won a game, but that was the last good moment for them on this afternoon…
On Friday Timi will play the singles quarterfinal against the Romanian Simona Halep.
