14/10/2014 – Timi won in three sets against Julie Coin in the opening round of the 50 000 ITF tournament in France.
The match lasted 2 hours 6 minutes. The second seed Hungarian player’s next opponent will be Italian Alberta Brianti.

The 32-year old French player’s career best was 60th position in 2009 and in the opening round she played very well for a long time. In the 34-minute first set Coin served very well, and she broke Timi at 4:4 from 40-15…Then the 32-year old Frenc player won the next game to 30.
In the 56-minute second set Coin also had a break advantage. At 2:2 she won her opponent’s serve and later led 5:3. At 5:4 the French player served for the win, but she couldn’t lived with the chance. Timi reached for a break point and equalized (5:5).
Then both player hold the next service game, so came the tie-break. Coin led 3-1, but Timi levelled to 3-3. After 5-5 the Hungarian player won the next two rally, so she won the set.
Timi began the third set with a break, but after 2:0 Coin won three games in a row. The second seed broke the French rival at 3:3 to 15, then she won the match with another break at 5:3.
Timi’s next opponent will be the World No 204 Alberta Brianti. The 34-year old Italian player’s career best was 55 (13 June 2011), respectively. She has won one WTA and 9 ITF tournament in singles.
