04/01/2015 – Timi won a great battle in three sets against Quiang Wang at the first round of the 500 000 USD Shenzhen Open.
The match lasted two hours and 15 minutes. The 21-year old Hungarian player will meet the 4th seed Zarina Diyas in the last 16.

“I’m very happy that I win today! In the first set I played a little bit shaky. I made a lot of mistakes, I had no break chance. Frankly speaking, I was also a bit angry with myself for not playing the way I wanted. Therefore I played much more aggressive in the second set, I started to play tennis, which brough the result. The final set brought hard fight,, with many break points. But in the end I never lose my service game during the match, so I won.”– Timi said after the match.
In the 58-minute first set Timi saved a break point at 3:3, then both player hold their service game til 6:6. In the tie-break Wang led 4-0, then 6-3 and she won the second set point. The Chinese player lost 3, while Timi lost 4 point at her serve…
In the 26-minute second set Timi played excellently!!! She broke her rival three times, did not give her opponent a chance. So came the final act!
In the first part of the third set the Hungarian player saved a total of three break point. Meanwhile Wang won her service game at 1:0 from 15-40.
A huge battle has emerged, in which Timi was the bolder and more accurate! At 5:4 she had a 40-15 lead as a receiver, and she finoshed the match with a great forehand winner.
The Hungarian player’s next opponent will be the World 33 Zarina Diyas from Kazakhstan. This is the best place of her career.
