The Hungarian-Russian pair fought hard in the 51-minute first set and it brought results as well. Timi and Pavlyuchenkova were in a break down three times, and they came back three times. Last time, when the opponent served for the opening act at 5:4.
The first set was decided in the tie-break. Timi and her partner came back from a break after 2-3, thanks to three receiving points.
At the beginning of the second set there were a quick break battle. The Hungarian-Russian won the opponent’s serve after 2:2, and it was decisive. Timi and Pavlyuchenkova hold that lead, and after 5:4 they easily won the last game to 15.
The Hungarian-Russian will meet Paula Kania (Polish, WTA-76.) and Danka Kovinic (Montenegrin, WTA-94.).
