Florianopolis: defeat in the doubles final

04/08/2016 – The first seed Uktrainian pair did not give a chance at the WTA Tour event.

Lyudmila Kichenok Nadia Kichenok (Ukrainian, 1)-Tímea Babos, Réka Jani (Hungarian, 3) 6:3, 6:1

 

The match lasted 59 minutes.

 

The Hungarian Olympic pair fought hardly in the 32-minute opening set, but the opponent was the better on the court at the most important moments. The Kichenok Sisters saved two break points at 1:1, then they won the rival’s serve to 30.

 

Timi és Réka Jani had a total of four break points after 3:1, but without success. But few minutes later, they broke the 1st seeds and came back to 4:3. But they couldn’t equalized, the Ukrainian pair broke again, and later finished the set behind their own serves.

 

The second set was much smoother. The Hungarian duo lost their serve three times, they had no chance. They only won one game, after 0:4, the Kichenok Sisters easily triumphed at the Florianopolis final.
