07/05/2013 – Timi not spent much time on the field in the first round of the Johannesburg tournament, she lost just three games against the Israeli Keren Shlomo.
The 19-year-old Hungarian player will meet the Turkisg Pemra Ozgen in the second round of the Soweto Open.

At the beginning of the meeting, the 25-year-old Israeli played relatively well, once she won the serve. But Timi not given a chance, she broke quickly her opponent and not sat back after 3:1. At 4.1 the first seed again broke Shlomo and smoothly won the first set.
The 19-year old Hungarian player started the second act a little bit bumpy…The Israeli led 1:0, then in the next game once was 40-40. However, Timi equalized and won four games in a row after 1.1. Shlomo then won a game, but after that the first seed won the match easily.
Timi will meet in the next round the 283rd ranked Pemra Ozgen. The 27-year-old Turkish player last year on April 9, was 273rd, it’s her career best so far. Ozgen has never won a WTA or ITF tournament in singles.
The Turkish tennis player this year was a finalist in Germany Leimen (10 000 USD) and was in the last four at Sutton (Great Britain, 10 000 USD).
